Andrew Garfield's Hot Professor Glasses Broke the Internet at the Golden Globes
And my brain.
In 2025, there's nothing hotter than a man who needs reading glasses. Exhibit A: Andrew Garfield at the Golden Globes. While taking to the stage with Kerry Washington to read out the nominees for Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, Garfield quietly slipped on his reading glasses before licking his lips, smoldering at the camera, and adjusting his lapel.
Ok, so he probably wasn't trying to seduce everyone who tuned into the Golden Globes. He was probably just reading the teleprompter. But nevertheless, the entire internet was convinced he was staring deep into their souls. The beard, the glasses, the open shirt...we really didn't stand a chance.
"Don't ask me any color of anything I am NOT WELL," one fan wrote on X. Another wrote, "People who say there is no monoculture anymore have never experienced being gay and online when Andrew Garfield does something as important as put on his glasses." A third wrote, "BREAKING NEWS: Andrew Garfield in his reading glasses just received a 55 minute standing ovation from me in my bed room."
Meanwhile, Washington said something about how "a great performance has the power to transport us"—but at this point, Garfield and his Oliver Peoples glasses had turned most brains—including mine—into mush. She went on, "When an actor falls so deeply into character that we as an audience get lost in their portrayal, the result is magic, we become spellbound, unable to take our eyes off of them.”
The pair went on to present the award to Demi Moore for her performance in The Substance. She took to the stage to accept her first-ever acting award and speak about how she was once labeled a "popcorn actress". "Today, I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and the love that is driving me and the gift of doing something I love—and being reminded that I do belong," she said.
Today, I'm holding space for Andrew Garfield serving hot prof straight to the camera at the Golden Globes.
