A petition calling for a re-shoot of the entirety of Game of Thrones’ final season is just shy of one million signatures.

As the blockbuster series approaches its final episode this Monday, it continues dogged by issues from editing fails, to illogical plot points which have left loyal fans seething.

The petition initially hit headlines in the wake of the unhappy reactions to the blockbuster series final season, prompting an unprecedented wave of support for its end goal.

Game of Thrones fans have been extremely vocal about their reactions to the shows final season, taking to social media to vent their frustrations with a season they have slammed as ‘too Hollywood’, ‘incoherent’, and ‘inconsistent’.

Now the online petition, called ‘Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 with competent writers’ is gaining serious traction online, jumping from 10k supporters just three days ago to 930k as of this afternoon.

The petition cites incompetent writing for ‘ruining’ the final season, and insists: “This series deserves a final season that makes sense.”

It may be the worlds most-watched TV series, but one million dissenters is still a hefty chunk of a once-loyal fanbase.

“Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!” the petitions founder writes in the description, or perhaps more accurately the manifesto.

And with support skyrocketing by the hour, it looks like it might just.\

Crazier things have happened after all.

Like Daenerys just losing her mind and torching King’s Landing.

For example.
