The chef announced the news of her pregnancy on her wedding anniversary to husband Max Cantor
Alison Roman is officially a mom!
The celebrity chef, 39, and husband Max Cantor, welcomed their first baby, son Charlie Davis Roman Cantor, announcing the news in an Instagram post with a picture of the newborn swaddled in a blanket and covering his face with his hand.
"Might never do or make anything this good ever again," she wrote in the caption of the announcement. "Charlie Davis Roman Cantor simply could not wait to join us. Adamant to be a Capricorn and not an Aquarius, coming almost a month early to give us the most perfect, wonderful surprise."
"His head is the shape of a peach and it’s covered in strawberry blonde fuzz," she added. "He loves milk and peeing on his dad. We ate pizza in bed together last night for Max’s birthday, the three of us as a family. We both cried the whole time. Charlie held our fingers and Max said it was the best birthday he’s ever had."
Roman announced her pregnancy news on her Instagram in September one day after the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Sharing a carousel of photos, with the first being a picture of her posing in the same dress she wore to her wedding reception, Roman took a moment to reflect on their year of marriage, before announcing that they were going to be parents.
"I cried on and off all day thinking of how lucky I am to have found such a big, outrageous love in my lifetime with the best, most wonderful person I have ever had the [privilege] of knowing," she wrote in the caption. "How lucky is this baby to have you as their dad? Crying again now, thinking how we both are so, so lucky."
Two years ago, the Home Movies host married her director husband in a ceremony and reception at one of New York’s iconic steakhouses. The Brooklyn-based chef shared a post to Instagram to announce her wedding, hours before the start of the ceremony.
“To anyone thinking of sliding into the DMs, do it! You could end up getting married,” Roman advised in the caption before revealing, “not to me, I’m now married.”
The photo showed a polaroid of the happy couple with the numbers “9.9.23” written across the top and “save the date!” emblazoned on the bottom.
