Ali Vitali To Host MSNBC’s Early Morning Show ‘Way Too Early’
Ali Vitali will become the new host of MSNBC’s Way Too Early starting on Jan. 6.
Vitali will succeed Jonathan Lemire, who is moving to an expanded role as host of the 9 a.m. hour of Morning Joe along with Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist. Lemire has been the host of Way Too Early since October, 2021.

Vitali, who joined NBC News in 2012, has been Capitol Hill correspondent for NBC News and is based in Washington. During her tenure she reported on the January 6th Committee and Kevin McCarthy’s protracted speakership election and eventual ouster. She also reported on Joe Biden and Kamala Harris during the 2020 campaign, served as an NBC News “Road Warrior” than cycle, and previously covered the Trump administration as a White House reporter for NBC News Digital. Variety first reported on her new assignment.
Way Too Early, which airs before Morning Joe, was launched in 2009 and featured Geist as host.
