19 Inappropriate Celebrity Comments That Were Completely Vile, Sexist, Or Just Plain Wrong

A while back, Reddit user tt1101ykityar asked about the most toxic, heinous thing a celebrity's ever said, and there were so many terrible examples. Here are some of the worst, along with a few from the BuzzFeed Community.

Note: There is offensive language ahead, along with mentions of rape.

1.I feel like one of the most overlooked parts of the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp defamation trial is the disgusting texts exchanged between Depp and friend Paul Bettany. "I'm not sure we should burn Amber," Bettany wrote after Depp suggested it. "She is delightful company and pleasing on the eye. We could of course do the English course of action and perform a drowning test. Thoughts? You have a swimming pool." Depp reportedly wrote back, "Let's drown her before we burn her!!! I will fuck her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she's dead." Bettany reportedly replied, "My thoughts entirely. Let's be certain before we pronounce her a witch."

2.In the wake of the trial, which included allegations of domestic violence on both sides, Dominic Fike generated controversy after he said onstage at a concert, "I think Amber Heard is hot, dude. I know it's not a popular opinion, and it's not the focus at the moment, dude, but I've been having these visions of her just beating me up. I think it's hot." He was booed by the audience, who seemed to feel that he was trivializing and sexualizing the issue of domestic violence.

3.Another singer in hot water for comments he made while performing is DaBaby. At the Rolling Loud Festival in 2021, DaBaby was accused of making anti-gay comments to the crowd, saying, "If you didn't show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that'll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up. Ladies, if your p**** smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain't sucking d*** in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up."

4.This isn't as serious, but I've barely seen talk of it elsewhere online. Back when Michael B. Jordan was promoting That Awkward Moment, Glamour asked, "So let me ask you the eternal 'are you going to respect me if we have sex on the first date?' question." Jordan replied, "No. No. Maybe...but a little less." Elsewhere in the interview, he said he had different dating checklists "depending on what I'm looking for. Is it the past-12-o'clock-in-the-morning list? Then my checklist is a little shorter." When the interviewer asked, "What's on that list?" he replied, "Two legs. Pulse."

5.In an even more sexist example, Bug Hall (from The Little Rascals) recently posted about his wife birthing a son on X, writing, "I have an heir!" After another user pointed out he already had multiple daughters, he tweeted back, "I said heir, not dishwasher."

6.I will forever be bringing up Howard Stern's abhorrent comments because everyone seems to forget about them. In one example, Stern joked about the Columbine school shooting. "There were some really good-looking girls running with their hands over their heads. Did those kids try to have sex with any of those good-looking girls? They didn't even do that?" Stern asked. "At least if you're going to kill yourself and kill the kids, why wouldn't you have some sex? If I was going to kill some people, I'd take them out with sex."

7.He also played gunshots over Selena's music after her death and said, "This music does absolutely nothing for me. ... Spanish people have the worst taste in music. They have no depth."

8.He also consistently made horrific comments about the Olsen twins before they were 18, including, "Now, normally I don't look at a 13-year-old and sexualize them, I don't, but these two are pieces of ass. They've grown up so perfect."

Stern later said he didn't actually want to have sex with them anymore because "Something went wrong. They stopped growing, or something." Agreeing that they didn't turn out "as hot" as he thought they'd be, he said, "It really looked for a while like when they were 13 or 14 that they were gonna be supermodels...I was counting down to their 18th birthday so we could have sex with them."

I cannot find any instance of Stern apologizing to the Olsen twins or addressing the clips, which again, are incredibly difficult to find.

9.We can't make this post without mentioning the awful anti-Semitic rant Gibson went on after being arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, saying, "F***ing Jews. The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." He later apologized.

11.After Kevin Hart was tapped to host the Oscars in 2018, his past anti-gay tweets resurfaced, such as the 2011 tweet: "Yo if my son comes home & try's 2 play with my daughters doll house I'm going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice 'stop that's gay." Hart initially asked people to "stop being negative" about his past tweets but later decided to step down from hosting the Oscars and apologize due to the intense backlash. He tweeted, "I'm sorry that I hurt people.. I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again."

Kevin Hart had similarly spoken in 2010 about what he would do if his son were gay in a stand-up routine, revealing that another boy was "grinding" on his son at a birthday party, and he "knocked them both down," and when he was reprimanded, he said, "you show me another kid getting fucked in the ass and I'll calm down."

12.In an even worse example of anti-gay tweets, 50 Cent once tweeted, "Perez Hilton calld me douchebag so I had my homie shoot up a gay wedding. wasnt his but still made me feel better," along with a photo of two men in tuxedos running away from an angry group of people.

13.Alec Baldwin once allegedly used an anti-gay slur while yelling at a paparazzi photographer, saying, "Get away from my wife and the baby with the camera," and calling the paparazzo a "cocksucking f**." He appeared to deny using the f–slur but admitted to using "cocksucker," writing that he'd since been informed that it was "an anti-gay epithet" and would now "retire" the word from "his vocabulary."

He also apologized, writing, "I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have. Words are important. I understand that and will choose mine with great care going forward."

14.Dave Chappelle has come under fire numerous times for his anti-trans jokes. In one special, he addressed the controversy and said he was "trying to repair" his "relationship with the transgender community." He continued, "You know how I've been repairing it? I wrote a play. I did. Cause I know that gays love plays. It's a very sad play, but it's moving. It's about a Black transgender woman whose pronoun is, sadly, n***a. It's a tear-jerker. At the end of the play, she dies of loneliness cause white liberals don't know how to speak to her. It's sad."

He also said, "God forbid I ever go to jail. But if I do, I hope it's in California. Soon as the judge sentences me, I'll be like, 'Before you sentence me, I want the court to know I identify as a woman. Send me to a woman's jail.' As soon I get in there, you know what Imma be doing. 'Give me your fruit cocktail, bitch, before I knock your motherfucking teeth out. I'm a girl, just like you, bitch. Come here and suck this girl dick I got. Don't make me explain myself. I'm a girl.'" In the same special, he said he would start mocking "handicapped people" instead, as "they're not as organized as the gays. And I love punching down."

15.In 2010, Olivia Munn made a racist joke when she said, "See, I date different guys of different religions and races so I can always make the joke. I date the Blacks, I date the Mexicans. I date 'em all for comedy. You can't buy that kind of gold. Having sex with a guy once is worth it."

16.Munn has also made some anti-fat comments, including writing in her 2010 memoir, "I will fix America's obesity problems by taking all motorized transport away from fat people. In turn, I will build an infrastructure of Fat Tunnels, where all the fat people can walk. This will create jobs and subsequent weight loss."

17.On the red carpet for the 2012 BET Awards, Machine Gun Kelly said, "Black girls give the best head" and called a woman off-camera a "bitch," saying, "Bitch, walk the fuck away then, you fucking dirty dick bitch. ... Weak-ass dress and fake-ass Louis Vuitton purse. I'll go in on this bitch. Hair all fucked-up, lipstick smeared everywhere, fuck outta here. You look like you just got done giving head."

19.Finally, Kelly Osbourne has made a number of horrible comments about Christina Aguilera over the years. Back in the 2000s, Osbourne said of Aguilera, "She's one of the most disgusting human beings in the world" and "I've seen drag queens who look better." She also called Aguilera a "cow."

Later, in 2011, Osbourne spoke about Aguilera gaining weight. "Maybe she is just becoming the fat bitch she was born to be. I don't know. She was a c**t to me. ...She called me fat for so many f***ing years, so you know what? F**k you! You're fat, too."
