Aldi hanging chair hack wows online: 'How cool!'
Aldi is doubling down on the success of its highly popular hanging egg chair by releasing another suspended seat that’s sure to send shoppers into a spin.
The $59 ‘Bodhi outdoor hanging lounge chair’ is more rounded than its oval-shaped cousin and the chair itself is made of a cream polycotton weave, complete with trendy hanging tassels on the bottom.
Unlike the sell-out egg chair, this new iteration — which is featured in the Wednesday, November 4 Special Buys catalogue — doesn’t seem to come with a stand from which to hang it.
Even though the chair has yet to hit stores — or even Aldi’s website — several keen shoppers already have some hacks in mind to solve the missing stand problem.
One Aldi fan came across an inspo photo of two chairs suspended from a kid’s swing set that they shared on Facebook.
“How cool would it be to create this hack with the Aldi chairs that go on sale Wednesday,” they wrote.

The cute idea has convinced several Facebook users to transform their own swing sets instead of throwing them out.
“OMG - just when I thought about getting rid of the swing set haha,” one wrote.
“I have had the pic on the right saved for ages and as soon as I seen the Aldi catalogue today I was like yessss,” added another.
Others were sure that the hanging chair would cause yet another Special Buys stampede.
“Well this sure to cause a riot!” joked one commenter.
“Bet they go fast,” speculated another.
Another Aldi fan Kristen popped up in the comments to share a snap of their own hanging chair DIY, writing, “Made it. Love it.”
“I actually got the hanging chairs off eBay and chose black for better weather usage,” she tells Yahoo Lifestyle.
“I spray painted the frame and left the monkey bar in the middle for the kids to keep playing on.
“A lot of people have said [the chairs] need to be reinforced to hold the weight of adults but we have not had an issue and they are pretty sturdy.”
