Towel-folding debate erupts on Twitter over photo

A woman has posed a simple question on social media likely hoping to get a simple answer. Instead she sparked a debate about what the correct way is to fold a towel.

Taking to Twitter, user @itsfrtaylorlien offered up three options - the simplest single fold, the hotel triple fold, or, as we like to call it, the ‘I’ve got my life together Marie Kondo’ roll. Either that or you’re short on space.

“Are you a 1, 2 or 3?” the woman asked before sharing an image of said three options.

Her post quickly went viral gaining more than 800 comments in just a few hours.

So what way would you choose?

There were a few who chose number 1 because of having “not enough time to make fancy towels”.

Then there were plenty who said number 2 was the way to go.

“I’m a 2 for now; May change if I Marie Kondo my life,” one person responded.

“2 for regular towels, 3 is reserved for the lounge chairs because I pretend I live at a resort,” another person mused.

Then there were a few creative people out there who said they didn’t fold their towels any of those ways.

Such as this ‘spa-inspired’ creation.

Then of course there were also those that thought folding towels was all-together just too hard.

“Cool. I'm 4 - all the towels I own are already hanging on a towel rack,” one person said.

While another quipped: “Wet towel in the corner of the bathroom.”

It seems the original poster was surprised by the response, admitting she herself is a number 1.
