"I'm constantly trying new things," the country star tells PEOPLE
Alana Springsteen is pushing herself out of her comfort zone!
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE on the red carpet at the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards on Thursday, Sept. 26 in Nashville, the singer-songwriter, 23, opened up about trying new things outside of music after having teamed up with electronic music producer Tiesto for her summer hit "Hot Honey."
"I'm constantly trying new things," Springsteen says. "I'm starting to golf a little bit. I'm not athletic at all, but I love picking up new sports and trying new things. So that's been a fun adventure."
The "Goodbye Looks Good on You" artist — who grew up "fishing on a pier" — shares that she recently went on an excursion on a boat where she "caught my first big fish."
"So that was a lot of fun," she adds.
Springsteen goes on to say that she challenges herself to "try new things" every day and relates it back to her experience as a musician.
