'Too cheesy': Bachelor star Ivan's AGT performance panned by hosts and social media

Ivan Krslovic - aka ‘Avocado’ Ivan from Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette - gave his dance dreams “the ultimate crack” by appearing on Australia’s Got Talent last night.

The 29-year-old from Melbourne told judges Nicole Scherzinger, Shane Jacobson, Manu Feildel and Lucy Durack that he wants to take his moves to Hollywood.

In fact, he has his sights set on a starring role in a third instalment Magic Mike 3 alongside Channing Tatum.

But if the reaction to his “embarrassing” performance from Shane and Manu - and the rest of the country online - is anything to go by, Ivan might want to stick to his day job.

“Too cheesy”

The tradie-turned-reality TV star showed off his freestyle moves to a medley of sensual RnB tracks, wrapping up the risqué performance by ripping open his sleeveless red check shirt.

Ivan may have had the audience cheering - and host Ricki-Lee Coulter dancing in the wings - but the male portion of the panel wasn’t impressed.

“Might want to cover up that rig there, Ivan. Our insurance doesn’t cover heart attacks,” quipped Kenny star Shane.

“I love cheese a lot, but that was a little too cheesy for me mate, sorry,” said French chef Manu.

Pussycat Doll Nicole - who Ivan later called a “babe” on Instagram - was more complimentary, admitting that she “couldn’t get enough of that cheese!”

Even though he received a big ‘yes’ from both Nicole and Lucy, Ivan’s AGT hopes were crushed by two ‘no’s’ from Manu and Shane, who didn’t think he was “strong enough” to beat the other teams.

Slammed on social

Fans on social media weren’t very complimentary, and didn’t hold back on their harsh opinions of Ivan’s audition.

“Oh thank you, thank you Shane for saying ‘NO’” said one, while another said, “Ivan, you seem like a nice guy, but I think it’s best that you keep those moves off the TV screen.”

Ouch!

“We really don’t need to see Ivan and his dancing on TV NOT EVER AGAIN!” added one.

“Yeah in a word NO!!! That was embarrassing to watch thank god Shane and Manu saw sense,” said another.

Meanwhile, another commenter was left with a case of nausea, saying, “I think I just vomited in my mouth a little.”

There might be a future for Ivan’s pair of backup dancers, with one writing, “The backup dancers were amazing, they need to go on.”

Ivan’s reality TV past

Ivan’s AGT stint isn’t the first time he’s appeared on reality TV, after attempting to woo Ali Oetjen on last year’s season of The Bachelorette.

Sadly, the near two metre tall freestyle dancer failed to win Ali’s heart, but rose to fame after an unfortunate incident involving a blender and a whole avocado.

Ivan, who was once a member of the all-male dance troupe ‘Magic Men Australia’ in 2013, had a second chance at romance on Bachelor In Paradise, but ended up causing controversy instead.

Ivan isn’t the only ex-Bachelor star to thrown their hat into the ring on AGT, with magician Apollo Jackson leaving the judges in a state of panic when his fire-fuelled stunt goes horribly wrong.
