AETH Entertainment Secures Rights to Bring Bestselling Novelist Michele Scott’s Stories to the Screen (EXCLUSIVE)
AETH Entertainment has acquired the screen rights to five of USA Today and New York Times bestselling author Michele Scott’s novels, comprising the entire “Holly Jennings” detective series written under Scott’s pen name, AK Alexander.
AETH, a full-service studio from financing to production and distribution, will first adapt “Blood and Roses,” a story set in the high-stakes world of horse racing. As the executive chair of Professional’s Choice Sports Medicine Inc., the world’s leading equestrian sports company, it’s an arena familiar to Scott, who brings tremendous knowledge, realism and production value to this project.
“I have spent a lot of time in the equestrian world that is at the center of ‘Blood and Roses,’” said Scott. “It will be exciting to partner with the AETH team to bring that world to life on the screen so that audiences can experience the rush of the races and the thrill of the behind-the-scenes politics and drama.”
“Michele Scott writes the kind of compelling characters and riveting stories that readers and audiences crave, and we are excited to introduce Holly Jennings to film and television audiences around the world,” said AETH’s CEO Eric Woods, who has produced more than 150 films and series for theatrical release, TV broadcast and streaming services. “Daddy’s Home,” the first book in the series, surpassed one million copies sold, secured a spot in the top ten of the Wall Street Journal’s bestseller list, and achieved the #1 bestseller position on Amazon U.K.
In addition to “Blood and Roses,” AETH will partner with Scott to develop the other three books in the “Holly Jennings” series – “Daddy’s Home,” “The Preference” and “Deadly Affairs” – as well as a new upcoming title from the novelist.
