Adrianne Palicki Boards Doctor Odyssey — Get a First Look at Her Steamy Encounter With [Spoiler]

Adrianne Palicki is scrubbing in — and stripping down — when Doctor Odyssey returns to ABC on Thursday, March 6 (9/8c).

The Orville star is introduced as trauma surgeon Dr. Brooke Lane in a new trailer for the medical drama’s two-part midseason premiere, which sends the Odyssey into shark-infested waters.

Brooke doesn’t get off on the best foot with Avery (Phillipa Soo), who introduces herself by asking, “Not to be overly formal… but who are you?” And things only get worse when Avery catches Brooke in Max’s (Joshua Jackson) room wearing nothing but a towel. But are they really sleeping together, or is this all one big misunderstanding? Given the general handsiness of this crew, anything is possible.

Enjoy a first look at Avery and Brooke’s multiple awkward encounters in the full trailer for Doctor Odyssey‘s shark-attack event below:

And it’s not like Avery doesn’t have plenty to worry about already, following the fall finale’s reveal that she’s pregnant with either Max’s or Tristan’s (Sean Teale) baby. Threesomes are tricky like that.

“I’ve just been grateful and really honored to tell this story and try and bring as much truth and humanity as possible to a woman’s conversation with herself and her partner-slash-partners about what she wants to do,” Soo told TVLine back in November 2024.

As TVLine exclusively reported, the second half Doctor Odyssey’s maiden voyage will see the return of country music icon Shania Twain as widowed passenger Heather, who cozied up to Don Johnson’s Captain Massey during Singles Week. Meanwhile, Paris Jackson will board the boat as a yet-to-be-named passenger. Additional guest stars include Charlotte Lawrence, Ava Phillippe and Rumer Willis.
