Addison Rae Reveals Whether She’s Still with Boyfriend Omer Fedi — and Why She’s Been ‘Guarded’ About the Relationship

The TikTok star-turned-singer describes herself as "a hopeless romantic"

Addison Rae and Omer Fedi are still a thing.

In a cover story with Rolling Stone published Tuesday, Jan. 21, the “Aquamarine” singer, 24, opened up not only about her budding career as a pop star but also shared insight on her relationship.

“The Libra in me is a hopeless romantic,” she told the outlet.

Rae and the record producer, also 24, went Instagram official with their relationship in August 2021, and are still going strong more than three years later.

However, the Louisiana native admits she doesn’t always like to share intimate details with the world.

“I’m very guarded when it comes to relationships, because my first public relationship taught me a lot about myself,” she continued, referring to a past romance with fellow content creator Bryce Hall.

The former couple split for a second time in March 2021, and the “Diet Pepsi” singer has a hunch as to why it didn’t last.

“I think he cheated on me,” Rae revealed to the outlet, adding that the MAGA supporter’s version of events greatly differs from hers. “He says he didn’t.”

She sums their past up easily: “That was a s--- show. He was very vocal about everything, and it was a mess.”

Still, staying quiet about her current relationship, she said she’s no longer upset about how things played out with Hall, 25, and has moved past the situation.

“I believe there’s good in everyone, so I like to think there’s a good part of him,” Rae said. “We were really young.”

Now that she’s older, the 24-year-old who commanded TikTok with trendy dances years earlier is focusing on her future in music.

“I had to rethink everything" after her acting debut in Netflix’s 2021 release of He’s All That wasn’t positively received by the masses, she told Rolling Stone.

The rom-com was a modern-day take on 1999’s She’s All That starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr.

Rae began to feel like anything she did outside of TikTok earned a bit of backlash.

“And I was like, ‘How am I going to get to a place where on my own, I feel like I can do this and feel confident in it, and fully deliver what I feel like is the best version of this?’ ” she explained.

Eventually, the 2024 release of “Diet Pepsi” helped her to make her Hot 100 debut.

When it came time to make her single “Aquamarine,” she looked around her for inspiration.

“The word is so beautiful and the color is so gorgeous that I was like, ‘How can I make a song that contextualizes that feeling?’ ” she said.

Rae is currently working to finish her album and in the meantime is set to appear in the comedy Animal Friends alongside Aubrey Plaza, Ryan Reynolds, Dan Levy and Jason Momoa, premiering Oct. 10.
