50 Cent would rather steer clear of politics after allegedly being approached by Donald Trump's team to get his stamp of approval.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club, host DJ Envy asked 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, if Trump offered the rapper money to endorse him. “I got a call," 50 Cent confirmed. "But they wanted me [for] Sunday.” The interview comes two days after Trump held a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Oct. 27.

Envy then asks if 50 Cent was approached to perform "Many Men" at the Republican National Convention in July, days after Trump's assassination attempt on July 13. The rapper said, "They offered $3 million,” and co-host Charlamagne Tha God chimed in to clarify that figure was offered for the Madison Square Garden rally. 50 Cent confirmed, and also said he was offered money for the Republican National Convention, although he did not disclose a number.

“I didn’t even go far… I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics," the 49-year-old rapper admitted.

He clarified his stance on staying apolitical, saying, "It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you. That’s the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye [West] to Japan. He said something about both of those things — and now he can only go to Japan."

50 Cent was referring to West's extreme political beliefs that led to him being banned from performing at certain venues in the United States, most notably the Grammys after he allegedly posted a racial slur on Trevor Noah's Instagram shortly before he was set to host the 2022 ceremony.

West's last proper performance in the United States was on Dec. 10, 2023 at LIV Miami in the middle of DJ Khaled's set. The rapper, 47, also hosted listening parties in early 2024 for Vultures, his collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign. However, the "Runaway" rapper has been staying in Asia after performing several successfully sold-out concerts in China in September.

50 Cent recently announced that he will ring in the New Year with his first Las Vegas residency. The six-date residency will take place at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Dec. 27, 28, 30 and 31, as well as Jan. 3 and 4.

"I always bring the energy, and Las Vegas is the perfect spot to create an unforgettable experience for my fans," the "In Da Club" rapper said in a statement.
