Missing the villa?

The Love Island franchise has become a fan favorite in reality television since its 2005 debut in the UK as Celebrity Love Island. Its popularity has earned it a spot in 24 different countries and formats, from Australia to South Africa to Love Island Games and Love Island USA.

The success of Love Island USA season 6 — which became the no. 1 most-viewed reality show across all streaming platforms, pre Nielsen — proves the series is as popular as ever.

Set on a secluded villa in Fiji, the reality dating show follows a group of singles as they couple up (and re-couple up), compete in challenges and test their relationships over six weeks. Oh, and there’s a twist: viewer participation is one of those tests.

To remain in the villa and stand a chance at winning the $100,000 cash prize, contestants must win the hearts of each other, and the public, as the audience’s votes determine who is safe or at risk of going home.

If you’ve already watched all of the Love Island franchise, and are still reeling from the season 6 reunion bombshells, there are plenty of other titles you can check out to get your fix of romance, tropical views and of course, drama.

From competition series to romance reality shows, here are 12 shows to watch if you’re a fan of Love Island.

Big Brother

Big Brother is a social experiment where strategy and social skills are put to the test as constantly surveilled contestants compete against one another for a big cash prize. But when a group of strangers live in a secluded house together for nearly 100 days, there’s bound to be some love stories, too.

Bachelor in Paradise

Like Love Island, Bachelor in Paradise places a handful of singles (who have all previously been on The Bachelor franchise) in a tropical setting to lounge together, go on dates and find their person. Similar to how Love Island brings in “bombshells,” relationships are tested when new ex-Bachelor contestants join the cast throughout the season.

There’s no final winner; instead, those who don’t find love are sent home during rose ceremonies, while some strong couples may end up engaged. But the two shows do share a fun connection: former Love Island USA host Sarah Hyland is married to the Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams.

While Bachelor in Paradise relates to the tropical villa environment in Fiji, Bachelor Pad shares Love Island’s competition element.

In this Bachelor spinoff series, contestants who didn’t find love on the reality show franchise compete in challenges to win a big cash prize — and hopefully fall in love.

Temptation Island

If the tropical Fiji views of Love Island leave you dreaming of blue waters and palm trees, Temptation Island is the perfect show for you.

Similar to the drama-filled Casa Amor episodes in which Love Island couples are tested by new bombshells, Temptation Island pushes pre-existing couples to their limits, tempting them to sever their relationships and explore new romances in Hawaii.

Are You the One?

On Are You the One? singles are searching for their perfect match, predetermined by relationship experts using interviews, psychological tests and compatibility assessments.

Similar to Love Island, participants engage in challenges, attend match-up ceremonies and live together for several weeks, all while competing for a cash prize. They have 10 chances to identify their “perfect match.” If everyone succeeds, they collectively win a $1 million prize.

Too Hot to Handle

The caveat: to be eligible for the $100,000 cash prize, they must remain celibate. Too Hot to Handle also marked the beginning of Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey's rise to reality television stardom.

If you just can’t get enough of Harry Jowsey’s drama, you can also catch him again on Perfect Match. Like Love Island, this show features compatibility challenges and matchups leading to the strongest couple winning a large cash prize.

Although some of the contestants are strangers, many have met as they have all been on a previous Netflix reality show, including Love is Blind, Too Hot to Handle and The Circle.

Ex on the Beach

Remember on Love Island UK’s eighth season when Gemma’s ex-boyfriend Jacques showed up and stirred chaos in her love story?

Well, that’s basically what you’ll find on Ex on the Beach, on which a group of singles are sent to a beach house to find love, but get a shock when their former love interests are invited along to stir up drama, test their relationships and maybe even rekindle old flames.

If one of your favorite parts of Love Island is finding out if the winners keep the cash prize for themselves or split it with their partner, you’ll love the intrigue and drama of FBOY Island.

Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, the show follows three women as they determine which of their 20+ suitors are "nice guys" and which are self-proclaimed "Fboys." The show even starred former Bachelorette lead Katie Thurston.

Remember on Love Island USA’s sixth season when JaNa told Kenny he was a baby because he was three years younger than her? Well, Milf Manor takes that to a whole different level.

In this reality dating show, single women between 40 and 60 years old stay at a retreat in Mexico to find love with single men in their 20s.

Naked and Afraid of Love

If you thought meeting someone new in a swimsuit or lingerie was scary on Love Island, just wait until you watch Naked and Afraid of Love.

In this reality dating series, eight women and eight men meet each other completely naked — leaving no physical aspect to the imagination — and work backward toward their emotional connection and finding love.

When Kaylor video chatted with her family on Love Island USA's sixth season, her sister held back no mercy in expressing her dislike for her older sister’s new boyfriend. Now, imagine that dynamic with the siblings actually living together in the villa, each searching for love.

Dated & Related takes this concept to the next level, as single siblings enter a villa in the south of France, hoping to find love for themselves — and their siblings — and a chance to win the $100,000 cash prize.
