People Are Like "Oh, Sweetie, No" About J.D. Vance's Reaction To Taylor Swift's Endorsement Of Kamala Harris
As you probably already know, Taylor Swift broke the internet (as she does) last night by officially endorsing Kamala Harris for president.
You might also know that Taylor made a direct reference to some heartless and misogynistic remarks that Donald Trump's running mate, J.D. Vance, made about "childless cat ladies."
Well, J.D. Vance appeared on Fox News today and spoke about Swift's endorsement. Unfortunately, the way Vance chose to word his response has more than a few people saying, "Hmmmm..."
I'll let you see what he said:
JD Vance on Fox News: We admire Taylor Swift's music, but I don't think most Americans are gonna be influenced by a billionaire celebrity who I think is fundamentally disconnected from the interests and the problems of most Americans pic.twitter.com/h2OqPNvnq9

Yup, he really said, "I don't think many people are going to be influenced by a billionaire celebrity who I think is disconnected from the interests and the problems of most Americans."
Now, I don't know about you, but when someone says "billionaire celebrity who I think is disconnected from the interests and problems of most Americans," there is one person who IMMEDIATELY comes to mind. And it is not Taylor Swift.
People have been laughing about this on X, especially since it's kind of one in a series of missteps from Vance.
Once again I say JD Vance has a knack for accidentally delivering the most spot on critical assessments of Trump.

The irony is irony-ing.
Irony just died a violent death.

Not to mention the fact that the Trump campaign has been trotting out celebrities. Maybe they aren't billionaires, so it's okay? I haven't checked Hulk Hogan's net worth lately.
But Kid Rock, Ted Nugent & Chachi, now they’ve got influence. 🙄

I'm just saying, you really gotta think about what you say before you say it.
Is it possible to have negative self-awareness?

The official Kamala HQ account noticed too, and had a simple emoji reaction:
