Zero Day: Get a First Look at Robert De Niro, Angela Bassett, Connie Britton and Jesse Plemons in Netflix Thriller
Netflix has set a date for Zero Day: The conspiracy thriller starring Oscar winner Robert De Niro will premiere Thursday, Feb. 20 on the streamer, TVLine has learned. Netflix has also released a number of first-look photos from the series, which you can see below.
The six-episode limited series stars De Niro as former U.S. President George Mullen, who “is charged with finding the perpetrators of a devastating cyber attack that has caused chaos around the country and thousands of fatalities,” per the official description. “As disinformation runs rampant and the personal ambition of power brokers in technology, Wall Street, and government collide, Mullen’s unwavering search for the truth forces him to confront his own dark secrets while risking all he holds dear.”

Joining De Niro in the star-studded cast are Angela Bassett, as current U.S. President Evelyn Mitchell; Lizzy Caplan, as Mullen’s congresswoman daughter Alexandra; Jesse Plemons, as Mullen’s former aide Roger Carlson; Connie Britton, as political operative Valerie Whitesell; and Dan Stevens, as Evan Green, “a charismatic loudmouth and TV host of a wildly popular political program.” TV veteran Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland, Mad Men) will direct all six episodes.
