Yellowstone Preview: Kayce’s Out for Blood — Jamie’s!

In the wake of Yellowstone’s game-changing Season 5B premiere (recapped here), the Paramount Network hit released an action-packed trailer teasing what is on the menu for the remaining five episodes: just desserts for Jamie.

As by now you know, Sunday’s “Desire Is All You Need” revealed that Kevin Costner’s Dutton family patriarch John had died by suicide been executed by Jamie’s coconspirator Sarah at his behest. John’s daughter Beth, who has despised her adopted brother since he had her sterilized as a teenager, immediately leapt to the conclusion that he was behind Daddy’s untimely demise. She knew all too well what he is capable of. Her preferred sibling Kayce, though… eh, he wasn’t so sure.

No matter. “You leave Jamie to me,” Beth says in the clip above. But Kayce not only comes around to the idea that his brother could’ve killed their father, he comes around in such a big way that he throws Jamie on his desk and hisses, “You should be scared. I know everything.”

Meanwhile, it looks like Beth takes on driving Sarah mad as a pet project. At one point, she so unnerves the conniver, asking, “Are we having fun yet?” that Sarah smashes her phone with a hammer. (We’ll take that as a no.)

When TVLine recently spoke with Wes Bentley, who plays the dead man walking, he admitted, “I thought Jamie was going to be killed off in Season 2. I was waiting for that dreaded script to come along [saying] that Jamie would be gone, because it just felt like that kind of a character. [This season] was no different. I was sitting there like, ‘Am I still here?’” (Read the full interview here.)
