'Yellowstone' Actress Reveals What It Was Really Like Working With Kelly Reilly
On Yellowstone, Beth Dutton has the ability to strike fear into anyone who crosses her path. Kelly Reilly's portrayal of the cutthroat businesswoman has become iconic, and she's managed to show her character's vulnerable side through her epic love story with Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser).
Still, after five seasons, viewers of the series might wonder what Kelly is like in real life. Her cutting lines like "I am the rock therapists break themselves against" and "You're the trailer park, I'm the tornado" have made their way to coffee mugs and T-shirts. Fans are often surprised to find her soft-spoken (and with a British accent!) in interviews.
The English actress has an established career, with appearances in True Detective, Sherlock Holmes, Pride & Prejudice, and more. Recently, one of her former costars spoke out about her experience working with Kelly. A fan unearthed the comment and shared it on Reddit.
Actress Tashia Gates starred alongside Kelly in a season four episode as a receptionist (she's credited as "Young Woman"). The Montana native commented on Instagram about her experience working with Kelly.
Tashia wrote, "She is so genuine and the kindest in person! She was so courteous to talk with me about our scene and even helped fix my mic when we shot on Yellowstone S4 E7 'Keep the Wolves Close.' I adore you and am so inspired by you Kelly!"
A commenter on Reddit chimed in with, "That’s cool. I know her (Tashia’s) sister very well. She said KR forgot her lines right out of the gate on first take, swore, and made everyone laugh."
We love to hear about Kelly's personality off-screen, but we'll continue to be intimidated by her on-screen persona!
