Writers Guild Awards 2025: Evil, The Penguin, Fallout, Shōgun and English Teacher Among First-Time Nominees
TV’s best scribes are getting their moment in the spotlight: The Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) and Writers Guild of America East (WGAE) have announced nominations for the 2025 Writers Guild Awards ceremony, which is to be held Saturday, Feb. 15.
The TV nominees include a number of first-timers, including the final season of Paramount+’s supernatural drama Evil, HBO’s Batman spinoff The Penguin and freshman series like Prime Video’s Fallout and FX’s Shōgun. Of course, usual suspects like Hacks, The Bear and Abbott Elementary are all present and accounted for as well.
