Charles Rose started his atelier in France, in 1923. He gained a reputation for creating bespoke jewellery, particularly rings and watches, and his name soon became synonymous with quality and elegance. Charles' nephew Frederick later emigrated to Melbourne — and the family business moved with him.

Today, Frederick's son Marcus Rose runs stores in Melbourne and Geelong along with his own son, Asher. This fourth-generation business is known throughout the country for specialising in high-quality diamonds and handmade jewellery, especially engagement rings and signature pieces.

They also have a range of finished jewellery, including rings, necklaces and bracelets, as well as working with coloured gemstones and pearls. All their diamonds are ethically sourced and certified.

If you have old jewellery you no longer wear but that holds a lot of sentimental value, they also offer a special remake service. This allows you to refashion items, so you can continue to wear something of sentimental value in a design that you love. Perfect if you have jewellery with a good quality stone, but you don't like the setting, it can modernise precious stones and metals to keep the jewellery alive.
