From bestselling duo Aaron Reynolds and Peter Brown comes an extension of the beloved Jasper Rabbit's Creepy Tales. In a new chapter book series aimed at ages 6 to 9, Jasper Rabbit is back for some new adventures. The new series includes Troubling Tonsils!, Unsettling Salad! and Yarn is Everything!, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
“Jasper Rabbit is the expert in all things creepy, and kids can't seem to get enough," Reynolds tells PEOPLE. "So I'm thrilled for chapter book readers to get immersed in the even creepier, slightly weirder and even more hilarious world of Jasper Rabbit's Creepy Tales! Creepy goofiness awaits! Enter if you dare!”
Troubling Tonsils!, is set to release in September. Narrated by Jasper the Rabbit, the first book follows Charlie Marmot and his swollen, infected tonsils — which he plans to place in a jar after they're removed, so he can show everyone at school.
"And that's when things got... let's just say they got a little creepy..." the announcement reads.
The second and third books in the series are set to be published in the spring and summer of 2026, respectively.
The pair first created the Creepy Tales trio, including Creepy Carrots!, Creepy Crayon! and Creepy Pair of Underwear! — all New York Times bestsellers, according to a press release. The first series has sold 4.4 million books since Creepy Carrots was first published in 2012.
Brown, the illustrator, is also the brains behind bestseller The Wild Robot — which was adapted into a feature film by Dreamworks in 2024 and received Oscar nominations for best animated feature, best sound, and best original score.
