Taylor Swift might be most known for her musical prowess, but according to fellow celebrities and fans, she’s also got major skills in the kitchen. Everyone from boyfriend Travis Kelce to Channing Tatum has raved about her homemade Pop-Tarts and cinnamon rolls, while her viral chai sugar cookie recipe–which she shared on Tumblr years ago– has earned the applause of Swifties and Katy Perry. However, when Swift welcomed Kylie Kelce into her home for a double date with Travis and Jason, the podcast host reveals she refused to try the “Blank Space” singer’s home-cooked meal for an understandable reason.

While making an appearance on the Wednesday, February 12 Call Her Daddy episode, Kylie–who’s married to Jason Kelce–confirmed she’d never tried Swift’s cooking as she opened up about doing a double date with the Kelce brothers.

Swift and her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend love a double date moment, having stepped out for highly-photographed nights out with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, as well as Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. However, they opted for something more low-key while hanging out with Travis’s brother and his wife.

“Technically, yes, I would say. It was at home,” Kylie told host Alex Cooper before revealing that she didn’t try Swift’s homemade dinner. “I don’t know that I really ate the meal,” she shared. “This is going to sound terrible. I didn’t really eat the meal because I was eight weeks pregnant.”

While Kylie might not have had a chance to try Swift’s cooking yet, Travis previously raved that his girlfriend “makes a great Pop-Tart and cinnamon roll.” However, her culinary prowess isn’t just limited to the kitchen, as Swift outlined some of her dinner party favorites in a 2019 Elle essay.

“I’ve always cooked a LOT, but I found three recipes I know I’ll be making at dinner parties for life: Ina Garten’s Real Meatballs and Spaghetti (I just use packaged bread crumbs and only ground beef for meat), Nigella Lawson’s Mughlai Chicken, and Jamie Oliver’s Chicken Fajitas with Molé Sauce,” she wrote at the time.

The Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce podcast host also opened up about when she found out her brother-in-law and Swift were dating. When Cooper probed, “I’m assuming your family was, like, getting told this in some capacity?” Kylie responded, “We were not.”

She clarified, “Jase and I found out together, but we knew before they hard-launched with her going to [the Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game on September 24, 2023].” However, it took a bit longer for her and Jason to meet Swift in person–something that Kylie hinted was more Travis’s choice than her own.

“People are deeply disturbed by this,” Kylie said about meeting the “Style” singer for the first time in January 2024 at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game.

The podcast, who emphasized that she open to meeting “anybody, especially something that Travis is dating,” pushed back on speculation about why it took so long for her to meet Kelce’s famous girlfriend. “There was, like, all this stuff leading up to it [the meeting] about, ‘Well, why haven’t they met, they’re avoiding each other.’ I’m not avoiding anyone,” she said.
