Fans of Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were shocked when the news of their break up and eventual divorce—which comes after 16 years of marriage and three children—hit the internet on January 8. But despite multiple outlets confirming their separation, the former couple has yet to file the paperwork to start the divorce process.

According to Us Weekly, Warren and Alba plan to file for divorce "soon," and are already getting started on living separate lives, with the outlet's source noting that "Cash has been slowly moving things out of their house." Alba is reportedly going to hold on to their Beverly Hills home, with the pair “working it all out behind the scenes” for the finer details.

Though filing for divorce is what the couple wants, the wildfires in Los Angeles have made Alba and Warren devote more of their energy to their family over the past few weeks. "Since the fires, they have been spending more time under one roof as a family," the source explained. "They are being there for each other right now as it is a very stressful time." Divorce, at least in the meantime, may have to take a back seat.

As for why the couple is divorcing, the Us Weekly source added that Alba and Warren “have had many ups and downs as any marriage would after being together for so many years. They have tried therapy and have worked out past issues over the years. At the end of the day, the romance was gone between them...there were trust issues in the past which led to many arguments.”
