The bear left us hanging at the 2025 Golden Globes. Amidst the sea of gilded ball gowns and strings of diamonds that graced the red carpet at the ceremony, Jeremy Allen White was nowhere to be found.
The actor won the award for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series—Musical or Comedy, for his portrayal as Carmy in The Bear. Presenter Jennifer Coolidge accepted the award for him, while his costars Ayo Edebiri, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach clapped for him in the audience.
Ayo was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series—Musical or Comedy for her role in the show. And Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Liza also received nods for their supporting roles in the series. Meanwhile, the show itself was nominated in the Best Television Series—Musical or Comedy category, alongside Abbott Elementary, The Gentlemen, Hacks, Nobody Wants This, and Only Murders in the Building.
While Jeremy did not give any public explanation for his absence at the award show, he is in the middle of filming the Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere, in which he stars as the music legend. The project is being filmed in New Jersey, which is quite a long way from Hollywood, California, where the Golden Globes are taking place.
Jeremy's on-screen and real-life girlfriend Molly Gordon also failed to show tonight, which just means we’ll have to wait a while longer to see them hard-launch their romance on the red carpet. Sigh.
