Why 'Criminal Minds' Fans Beg Paget Brewster to "Take Care of" Herself

Paget Brewster is recovering after a surprise health scare — and she's giving fans a look at what happened.

On February 1, the Criminal Minds actress went on X (formerly Twitter) to alert her followers about an injury she recently endured. Posting an X-ray of her elbow, Paget explained she ended up in the emergency room after slipping on some ice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a result, she ended up suffering from a fractured elbow, adding she needs to follow up the injury with surgery in the coming weeks. Despite the unexpected fall, she assured fans that she wasn't letting a hurt arm affect her passions in life.

"So I slipped on ice and fractured my elbow pretty badly on Tuesday," she wrote in the caption. "Thank you to everyone at Corewell Grand Rapids Michigan ER. Surgery soon in LA. I’m on heavy pain meds watching @BachelorABC love you guys!"

Upon learning of Paget's alarming health news, it didn't take long for folks to rally around her and send words of support.

"Take care of yourself and rest well. We love you Paget," one person wrote on X. "Owwwww! Heal well, rest up. Sorry this happened!" another commented. "Sending good energy and so much love," a different follower added.

This is likely one way Paget didn't expect to start 2025! Luckily, she does have a lot going for her, since Criminal Minds: Evolution wrapped filming season 3 in late December. What's more, she already shared an update on how she's doing amid the health crisis.

Posting another photo of herself in a sling and soft cast on X, Paget expressed her gratitude for her husband Steve Damstra and her followers for lifting her up at this time.

"Thank you all so much for your support and the laughs," she wrote. "Because you love ⁦@criminalminds⁩, I have you, my CriMi friends, my husband, his beautiful family, my health insurance and the hope for a next season. I love you. I’m gonna fall asleep now."
