Vanna White may be a daily fixture on our TV screens, but it turns out she's only in the studio for about 10 percent of the year.

The longtime Wheel of Fortune hostess recently opened up about a little-known fact of her job, telling the hosts of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show that she spends a lot less time filming than people might assume.

"We film about 34 days a year," White said, prompting shocked gasps from hosts Elvis Duran and Danielle Monaro. "That's it."

When the hosts began voicing their surprise, White quickly interjected, joking, "But! Six shows a day — come on, feel bad for me."

"I do not feel sorry for you one bit,” Duran quipped back. "That sounds like a great job."

"That's six different dresses a day," Monaro added, with White confirming: "It is!"

After crunching the numbers, cohost Nate Marino asked White, "So you have 331 days off a year?"

After a pause, White answered, "Yeah, I guess so. I've never looked at it like that."

"And no one deserves it more than you," Duran said. "You're just the best."

White has been a staple of Wheel of Fortune for more than four decades, first joining in 1982 alongside host Pat Sajak, who replaced Chuck Woolery just a year before White's arrival. The former model has since become so synonymous with the show that fans were relieved to learn she'd be staying on following Sajak's 2024 retirement.

Reflecting on how her role has changed over the years, White noted last year that she no longer needs to manually flip the letters on the puzzle board — technology has made it so the letters appear automatically.

"With all the electronics today, obviously they could do it without me," she admitted. But she also acknowledged that her presence is about more than just revealing letters: "People love watching what I'm wearing. I've worn over 8,000 outfits. So I think the audience likes to see if I'm wearing red today, or blue. Is it going to be elegant or short? My wardrobe is a big part of it."

Following Sajak's departure, White extended her contract for two more years alongside new host Ryan Seacrest. But she has since confessed that she's not yet sure what the future holds beyond that.

"We'll see toward the end of those two years how I feel," she said of the extension. "I thank God after all these years that I still love my job."
