What happened to the cast of Home Alone?
Let's see what those 'filthy animals' are up to today!
Fan-favourite Christmas movie Home Alone launched the career of then-10-year-old Macaulay Culkin.
The child actor may have featured in Uncle Buck with John Candy the year before, but this was the movie that really grabbed everyone's attention.
Home Alone is now an annual festive classic, but what has the cast done 33 (yes, 33!) years on?
Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister
"Christmas is my time of year,” Macaulay Culkin told US Weekly in 2019. "I get recognized 10 times more between the months of November and January. I have no idea why."
When asked what the best and worst aspects of the festive season were for him, he said: "That’s easy: Me being on TV every 2 seconds. It's a beautiful curse/a tricky blessing."
Macaulay has continued acting and was most recently in American Horror Story: Double Feature and The Righteous Gemstones.
Macaulay, now 43, is engaged to fellow actor Brenda Song, and they are focussing on their family life now that they are parents to daughter Dakota Song Culkin, who was born in April 2021 and a second child born just before Christmas last year!

Joe Pesci as Harry
Oscar-winner Joe Pesci was known for his dramatic film roles in movies such as Raging Bull, Goodfellas, My Cousin Vinny and the Lethal Weapon franchise before turning his hand to comedy as a hapless thief in the Home Alone films.
"I remember Macaulay as being a really sweet kid and, even at his age, very professional," Pesci says of working with Culkin. "I intentionally limited my interactions with him to preserve the dynamic between his character, Kevin, and my character Harry."
"[I] didn't want it to come across on the screen that we were in any way friendly," he added.
While the 80-year-old retired in 1999, he has been tempted out of retirement for a cameo in Robert De Niro's 2006 film The Good Shepherd, for a starring role in the 2010 brothel drama Love Ranch and for the 2017 crime film The Irishman, directed by Martin Scorsese.
Daniel Stern as Marv
Harry's partner in crime Marv was played by actor Daniel Stern. He has continued to act with his most recent work, including science fiction drama television series For All Mankind and the upcoming film Everything's Peachy.
John Heard as dad, Peter McCallister
Actor John Heard, who played Kevin's dad Peter sadly passed away from a heart attack in 2017.
However, in a 2008 interview, he told 411 Movies he had some regrets about his career.
"I think I could have done more with my career than I did, and I sort of got sidetracked. But that's OK, that's all right, that's the way it is. No sour grapes. I mean, I don't have any regrets. Except that I could have played some bigger parts," he said.
Catherine O'Hara as mum Kate McCallister
With Catherine's huge recent success in Schitt's Creek for which she won an Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and six consecutive Canadian Screen Awards, you can be forgiven for forgetting the actress played Kevin's mum in the festive classic.
But many fans still remember.
"From November through December, ‘tis the season for Home Alone!," she told InStyle in 2018.
"I ran into Macaulay once and he said, 'Mom!' and I said, 'Baby!'. He looked great and was doing well, and I was happy to see him," she added.
Catherine will soon appear in Argylle and Beetlejuice 2, both out next year.
Kieran Culkin as Fuller McCallister, Kevin's youngest cousin
Despite being Macaulay's brother, since Macaulay was supposed to be the youngest of the McCallister clan, his little brother Kieran played his cousin.
But Kieran was not that excited to see his brother on set, his fondest memory was meeting John Candy who was only on set for a day.
"I remember going in the trailer and seeing him and was just starstruck," Kieran revealed to Esquire this year. "I don't remember anything specific, except that he was really nice. That's all. And I was like, 'I love this guy.'"
The dad of two's most recent acting credit is for playing Roman Roy in the award-winning drama Succession.
