Best celebrity Christmas decorations: Nicole Kidman, Rebel Wilson and more
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.
It's a time for reflection, family fun and decorating in the most twinkly way that brings a smile to the face.
It's little wonder so many of us want to get in early and get the tree up as soon as those Halloween decorations are cleared away.
While some go traditional in their festive decorations, others change each year, letting their ornaments reflect their mood, trends or room style.

Enough tinsel for Thor
Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky know that despite Australia not offering the traditional snowy Christmas, the lure of the beach more than makes up for it.
It's nice to see they have a real tree for their kids, India Rose, nine, and twins Sasha and Tristan, seven.
Elsa also has a sense of humour when it comes to her muscly hubby.
"Santa brought me a Thor action figure for Christmas." Elsa wrote jokingly last year as Chris showed his guns for her snap!
Pretty in pink
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban chose simply mainly gold ornaments for their tree last year, before posting these festive pix on their Insta accounts.
"Counting down the days until Christmas …" Nicole wrote on her post.
"Hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far Xx "
Keith wrote: "Merry Christmas everyone - thank you for ALL the love this year. We send love to every one of YOU!!!!! - us❤️"
A Witherspoon full of fun to build on
While Reese has chosen a large tree, she hasn't over ladened it with baubles.
Simple, individual decorations give the tree a real Scandinavian feel.
This is a lovely trend for children to add a new decoration to each year, slowly building the look over time and giving it real sentimental value.
Christmas with the Jonas-Chopras
Actress and Miss Universe Priyanka Chopra and her husband, singer Nick Jonas revealed their Christmas style last year with a well lit, traditional Christmas tree taking pride of place in the living room of their home.
Blushing and beautiful for Kylie
The Kardashian/Jenner clan always go over the top with their Christmas displays, but Kylie's blush-hued, snow-ladened tree from 2017 was particularly beautiful.
"Thank you @jeffleatham & team for making my XMAS dreams come true! 20 feet of magic! Even more perfect in real life ... 🎀" she enthused.
Britney brightens up
Songstress Britney Spears' double-height living room was lit up like a proverbial Christmas tree with her - um - Christmas tree.
The plethora of lights really makes the whole room special and is a trend easy to replicate with a quick trip to Bunnings!
Truly delighted
What little girl doesn't love pink sparkly things and True seems delighted with her own special tree.
"Merry Christmas everyone!! We starting decorating our house yesterday and @jeffleatham surprised True with this beautiful pink tree. It’s safe to say that True loves it!!! Thankful and blessed beyond words!" Khloe wrote on her post.
Ladders needed at Lopez's abode
"Have a Holly Jolly Christmas...🎄," Jennifer Lopez wrote on her 2018 post, which saw Max dancing around to Christmas music while decorating with sister Emme.
Her red and white-themed baubles are striking against the green background of the tree and a pared-down version of the traditional colours of Christmas.
Fit for a butterfly
Mariah Carey doesn't do things by halves and this tree reflects her extravagant and glamorous style.
Amongst the glittering gold ornaments are of course butterflies, something often associated with Mariah, especially after her 1997 album Butterfly.
"Getting into the Christmas spirit with this exquisite tree in a beautiful home for our family! 🎄☃️" Mariah wrote in the post.
Miranda rocks out
Aussie model Miranda Kerr may be married to Snapchat billionaire Evan Spiegel, but her Christmas tree is tastefully simple.
"Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree," Miranda wrote on her insta post in 2018, with her jumper matching her red and gold-themed decorations.
All about colour for Hugh and Co
Hugh Jackman was all smiles in front of the colourful tree he and wife Deborra-Lee Furness put up last year.
"Christmas morning cameo from Dali. (Allegra is smarter. She knows Debs is so much more fun!). Merry Christmas from our family to yours🎄," he wrote calling out their two pets, French bulldog Dali and Allegra, their poodle-mix.
Fisher keeps it fun
Isla Fisher converted to Judaism before marrying Sacha Baron Cohen in 2010, but it looks like she's retained a few Christmas traditions.
"What makes this a Chanukah bush rather than a Christmas tree? The fact that both these elves were circumcised. Merry Christmas from our family to yours," she wrote cheekily last year.
Health and holly for Rebel
Rebel Wilson embarked on her year of health last year and celebrated her success in front of this stunning traditionally decorated tree last year.
The Scandinavian-style elves and Disney characters are baubles that can easily be copied at home.
