Wendy’s Brings Back Beloved Frosty Flavor—But There’s a Catch
The Frosty has been a Wendy’s staple since the 1960s, with the fast food chain branching out into different flavors for the beloved sweet treat for almost 20 years.
But, as Wendy’s fans know, not all Frosty flavors are available at the same time, prompting a rotation of available flavors based on region and season.

That’s why U.S. fans are excited to hear that one of the most popular flavors, vanilla, is making a return.
Food blogger Snachwithzach shared the news on Jan. 11, revealing that the vanilla Frosty is “returning now to select Wendy’s locations through late February,” and for the most part, fans were thrilled with the news.

“Never thought I would hear that the vanilla frosty is ‘back,’” commented one fan. “Why was vanilla even gone😢😂,” said another, and a third chimed in to say “YESS I LOVE THE VANILLA FROSTY I MISSED IT SO MUCH ❤️.”
It seems not all Wendy’s fans were impressed with the announcement, as one commenter didn’t even seem to notice, writing, “I didn't even know the vanilla frosty left.”
Another agreed, asking, “Wait, the vanilla was gone?” Another fan was also confused, asking, “since when they took vanilla frosties away?”
Others were more concerned about what the return of the vanilla Frosty means for the other flavors. “So does this mean the caramel frosty is gone? 😢,” asked one fan.
Another commenter shared the sentiment, inferring that because the vanilla Frosty is returning to select locations, then “you’re telling me SOMEWHERE I can still get my caramel frosty??”
