Wedding photographer's 'cringeworthy' fail goes viral on TikTok

A whole wedding party was left a little shocked after an awkward mistake by a wedding photographer, which was captured on camera.

Videographer @jpvideography2141, whose name is John Pattyson, shared footage of the incident on TikTok and it's since gone viral.

The clip showed the moment the photographer called the bride, whose name is Katelyn, by the name of the bride she had taken photos of the week prior.

Her name was Taylor, and what made things particularly cringeworthy, was the fact that Taylor happened to be the name of the groom’s ex-girlfriend.

"The couple, just say the couple," Katelyn can be heard saying in the clip.

Commenters were split over the incident, with some saying the mistake as a huge faux pas, with one person calling it 'cringeworthy'.

"If this happened to me I would have been soooo mad the whole wedding," one person said.

"I would literally walk out," another said, while a third agreed: "I would be so mad I would call off the wedding."

Others, however, were more sympathetic.

"Y’all do know the wedding photographers go to several weddings in a day or week. I’m a florist and a photographer and I have done this. We don’t mean to," one person pointed out.

"As a photographer, I call people by the wrong name all the time. I would die if this happened to me," another commented.

Speaking to Newsweek the bride said she was caught off guard by the incident, but she forgot all about it until it went viral on TikTok.

"At first I was like, ‘Did she really just say that name? Out of all the names she could have chosen!’ I just laughed it off and didn’t think of it being that big of a deal," she said.

"It was my dream wedding, so I wasn’t going to make a little mix-up like that ruin my day."
