It all started with a Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest, a Wonka costume, a $50 prize, and a dream. In October, 21-year-old Staten Island college senior Miles Mitchell won the iconic Timmy lookalike contest in New York that kickstarted a movement in major cities. Once Timothée himself showed up to the contest in a sea full of doppelgängers, more celeb-inspired contests appeared. Fans were on the hunt for an off-brand Jeremy Allen White in Chicago, a Harry Styles version popped up across the pond in London, and a Glen Powell event in Austin was judged by his parents.

Two months after Timmy and his lookalikes took over NYC, the actor officially met Miles during a screening of his Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown in New York. The winner posted a clip to his social channels, writing, “LIFE IS NOT REAL GUYS😂
#timotheechalamet #grateful #blessed #putmeindune3.”

In the clip, the Dune star asks Miles, “What place did you come in?” and Miles reveals he was actually the winner. Timmy's reaction = priceless. He exclaims, “Oh shit, oh shit! Bro!” before excitedly pulling his double in for a hug.

Of course, the internet ate it up and left comments for the pair. “This is the biggest thing to ever happen for any chronically online person,” one fan wrote while another chimed in, “This is what we’ve been waiting for!!!” Another person added that the Oscar-nominated actor was more excited” than Miles during the full-circle moment.

When Miles took home the $50 prize (complete with bragging rights) back in October, he exclusively told Cosmo, “This was probably one of the best experiences of my life. I was shocked and really overwhelmed [by the win], but it was amazing.”

As for Timmy, he recently revealed that he found out about Washington Square Park's lookalike competition while shooting his upcoming flick Marty Supreme in the city.

“I mean, there were posters everywhere in New York,” he told E! News on December 12. “People sent it to me. I saw it while shooting the movie...it was in the background of a shot and they had to move it.”

Really loving this for all Timmys involved!
