“The Voice” Finalist Bryan Olesen Returns to Support His Daughter, 23, in Blind Audition During Season 27 Premiere
Jadyn Cree sang Paramore's "Still Into You" for her audition
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
On Monday, Feb. 3, season 25 finalist Bryan Olesen returned to the show to support his daughter Jadyn Cree, 23, in her blind audition during the season 27 premiere.
For her blind audition, Jadyn sang Paramore's "Still Into You" and received chair turns from coaches Michael Bublé and Kelsea Ballerini. Meanwhile, Olesen was brought to tears by the moment.
"My dad definitely left some big shoes to fill," she said before going onstage. "I'm excited to make him proud and try my best to get anywhere close to where he got in this competition."
After coaches John Legend and Adam Levine turned their chairs, the "All of Me" singer — who was Olesen's coach on season 25 — said "she looks very familiar to me."
Jadyn then revealed that her dad was Olesen and called for him to join her onstage.
Legend, 46, cheered for his former contestant and said, "Bryan Olesen, we went all the way to third place on this show which was amazing. Now I'm feeling a little FOMO (fear of missing out) right now."
Then, the Canadian crooner and the country singer gave their best efforts to have Jadyn join their teams.
"Jadyn, I think you're a star. You have so much light pouring out of you. I want to sit one day when you get your record deal with my two baby girls and I want to dance my face off and go, 'Your poppy was part of that.' That's my pitch. I'm done. I'm not going to pitch anymore," Bublé, 49, said.
The "I Would, Would You" singer, 31, added, "Your voice is really pure. I want to see you sing stuff like 'Kiss Me' Sixpence None the Richer or like 'Jar of Hearts' Christina Perri."
Meanwhile, Levine, 45, said he felt like he "missed out" by not turning his chair. "I think you're going to really go far on this show, because I think there's nobody like you," he added.
After taking a moment to chat with her dad, Jadyn chose Bublé as her coach.
During his time on the show, Olesen made it to the finale and ended up in third place. The winner that season was Asher HaVon.
Speaking with PEOPLE ahead of the season finale, Olesen expressed his gratitude for Legend.
"I don't think I'd still be here if I wasn't on John's team. And just his words, there's many words that weren't on camera. His words of affirmation — they've built me up in a certain way that have been just wonderful," he said.
The blind auditions will continue on Monday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
