Agrabah might not be geographically close to France or Atlantica, but Princesses Jasmine, Belle and Ariel are still tight in real life!

During a recent media preview of Disney Cruise Line's Disney Treasure ship ahead of its official maiden voyage, Linda Larkin, who has provided the speaking voice of Jasmine in various projects beginning with 1992's Aladdin, told PEOPLE that she has "a personal friendship with the other Princesses" from her "era" — particularly Jodi Benson, who voiced Ariel in 1989's The Little Mermaid, and Paige O'Hara, the voice of Belle in Beauty and the Beast (1991).

"So Ariel, Jasmine and Belle are real-life friends!" says Larkin, 54.

Asked what the trio like to talk about, Larkin says they have "a text thread" and often chat about "our families and our faith and our relationships, and I think just being part of the Disney legacy, as well."

"We do stuff for D23, we do some projects together, new projects that are coming out. So we really never run out of things to talk about," she also said.

The women have certainly come together over the years for several projects and special events, like 2018's Ralph Breaks the Internet, which features a fun scene where Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) meets all the Disney Princesses, including Tangled's Rapunzel, voiced by Mandy Moore.

"We all recorded separately, but then we got to do the press junkets together. So it was really fun," Larkin says, adding of Moore, 40, "She was great."

Aside from O'Hara, 68, and Benson, 63, Larkin tells PEOPLE she also has "a text thread" with Anika Noni Rose, who voices The Princess and the Frog heroine Tiana.

"She's really great. We got to see each other a lot this year because we had a lot of activity with D23 and our animator, Mark Henn, being named a Disney Legend," adds the actress.

Larkin herself was named a Disney Legend in 2011 alongside Benson, O'Hara, Rose, 52, and Broadway veteran Lea Salonga, who provided the singing voice for both Jasmine and the titular warrior princess in Mulan (1998).

Asked whether she ever gets recognized by her voice, Larkin tells PEOPLE, "I do get that, regularly."

"I can go through life being very anonymous and then every now and then, someone with a really good ear will do a double take," she says. "I think I have a recognizable voice, and when people know, they know."

As for which Disney Princess she is most like in real life? "I would say Rapunzel, for sure, and also Belle," Larkin says. "I really love to disappear into books and into a world of my own."
