“The View” audience member adorably loses it and cries over winning cash prize on air

Sara Haines celebrated as an audience member cried after winning $1,000 on the show.

The View just made one lucky audience member's morning one to remember.

Unlike panelist Joy Behar, who recently welcomed fall with a reminder that she once stabbed her hand with a knife, cohosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines welcomed the season of giving by closing Tuesday's show with a sweet giveaway that left one guest in the crowd in tears.

"It's day two of our $1,000 giveaway week," Griffin said during a sponsored segment pegged to the digital Solitaire Grand Harvest game, before she and Haines entered the studio audience into a contest to win a monetary prize.

Haines and Griffin clapped as the screen behind them flashed various numbers reflecting audience seat numbers, with Haines eventually hitting her hand on a big button to reveal that the person sitting in seat No. 37 was about to be $1,000 richer.

Haines rejoiced as she made eye contact with the seat-holding winner, with the camera then cutting to a guest jumping up and down and crying over the reveal.

The camera lingered on the person crying and wiping tears away as the crowd around them applauded, with the show going to commercial break shortly thereafter.

The giveaway marked a change of pace for the show's audience participation segments, which often see moderator Whoopi Goldberg enter her iconic wind machine of chaos (sometimes at the hands of Mickey and Minnie Mouse) to select an audience seat number from the gust of papers swirling around her — a tunnel of air that once stole a ring from her finger, though it was quickly recovered before the show ended.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
