Vanessa Hudgens divides fans with unrecognisable look: 'I'm in shock'

Vanessa Hudgens has divided fans after appearing completely unrecognisable in her latest Instagram snap.

The High School Musical star swapped her trademark dark locks for a bleached blonde wig that framed her face in waves. She also jumped on the bleached eyebrow trend but kept her makeup classy with black winged eyeliner and a classic red lip.

The star also wore a chunky gold choker that covered the length of her neck and appeared to be standing outside a suburban house.

Vanessa finished her bold look off with a black, patent jacket. In the caption, she wrote: “Who even is she”.

It’s unclear what event the Spring Breakers star was attending, but her post did coincide with her 34th birthday.

Her celebrity pals praised the star for her unusual look, calling her “fabulous”.

“Dayummmm!!” Singer Kimberly Wyatt wrote, while celebrity hairstylist Danielle Priano added: “She is giving vixen!”

Many fans also compared the starlet to Lady Gaga, who has been proudly displaying bleached brows for years.

“She’s giving Lady Gaga for sure!” one fan claimed.

“When your obsession as a teen was Vanessa Hudgens and Lady Gaga, and now Vanessa decided to dress up as Lady Gaga,” another gushed.

“The old Vanessa can’t come to the phone right now,” quipped a third.

“I’m in shock is this real? I love it. I love you my queen,” commented another.

However, there were plenty of fans who slated the Princess Switch star for her “ugly” look.

“Pls no wtf,” a fan wrote, with another saying, “it’s a NO from me ma’am”.

“Looks terrible with blonde hair. Beautiful with dark hair,” a third chimed in.

“It’s a no on that hair. Is that a wig? Lol,” another commented.

“Honestly this look is very, very ugly. Hate it but somehow…somehow…you’re so pretty, you still look good. And I kinda like it at the same time. Damn,” a fan remarked.
