Usher Suits Up in Burberry and Wife Jennifer Shows Strong Shoulders in Sergio Hudson Blazer at Black Music Action Coalition
Usher took a break from his “Usher: Present Past Future” tour to accept an honor from the Black Music Action Coalition on Thursday in Los Angeles. The 2024 Super Bowl halftime performer and his wife Jennifer Raymond attended the fourth annual event at The Beverly Hilton for Usher to be presented with the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award.
For the ceremony, the singer wore a velvet double-breasted Burberry tuxedo. He wore the suit over a black shirt and black tie, a styling combination he often chooses for red carpets. It featured satin lapels and on one he affixed the Amapola silk flower brooch from Tiffany & Co. On his wrist, he wore Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso Tribute watch. He was styled by Yashua Simmons.

He also went black-on-black for the NAACP Image Awards earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Jennifer selected a look from Sergio Hudson. The Spectator blazer is a one-button silhouette, featuring Hudson’s signature strong, power shoulder. The bi-color design emphasizes the shoulder, further accentuating the hourglass proportions of the silhouette, which includes a nipped waist.
For his “Past Present Future” tour, Usher was styled by Simmons, Jeremy Haynes and Shiona Turini. The resulting looks include designs from Robert Wun, Vetements, as well as vintage Marc Jacobs. Haynes had previously styled the star for his Super Bowl halftime performance. Amongst other looks, the R&B singer wore an embellished Tron-inspired suit by Off-White in that appearance.
Prior to that he was cast as a face of Kim Kardashian’s Skims men’s brand. Usher has also collaborated on a merch line for his tours with Rémy Martin.
