TVLine Items: Godfather of Harlem Season 4 Trailer, Hollywood Squares in Daytime and More
The Godfather of Harlem has his work cut out for him with a new rival in the first teaser trailer for Season 4 of the MGM+ series (premiering Sunday, April 13, with weekly episodes).
Rome Flynn (Chicago Fire, How to Get Away With Murder) joins the cast as gangster Frank Lucas, who has his eye on owning Harlem.

In the upcoming season, “Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker) continues his bloody war for control of Harlem against New York’s Mafia families, while contending with the arrival of gangster Frank Lucas (Flynn),” reads the official synopsis. “After Malcolm X’s (Jason Alan Carvell) tragic assassination, Bumpy must also grapple with his daughter Elise’s (Antionette Crowe-Legacy) involvement with the Black Panthers.”

* CBS’ new Hollywood Squares, starring Drew Barrymore as Center Square and hosted by Nate Burleson, will get a special daytime run, with encores airing Monday, Jan. 27 through Friday, Jan. 31 at 2 pm ET/1 pm CT/PT. The reimagined game show airs in primetime Thursday, Jan. 23 at 8 pm, and then Wednesdays at 8 pm, beginning Jan. 29.
* Beef Season 2 has added to its cast William Fichtner (Mom), Seoyeon Jang (Good Partner), Mikaela Hoover (The Suicide Squad) and musician BM, our sister site Deadline reports.
* Suits LA has tapped Patton Oswalt (AP Bio), Brian Baumgartner (The Office) and Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars, English Teacher) to guest-star as versions of themselves on the NBC series, our sister site Variety reports.
* SCAD TVfest (taking place Feb. 5-7 in Atlanta) will honor Hiroyuki Sanada (Shōgun) with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Laverne Cox (Clean Slate) with the Impact Award, Noah Centineo (The Recruit) with the Distinguished Performance Award, Sophie Skelton (Outlander) with the Lumiere Award, Uzo Aduba (The Residence) with The Hollywood Reporter’s Trailblazer Award, Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) with the Rising Star Award, and the cast of St. Denis Medical with the Breakthrough Cast Award. Previously announced honorees include Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers, who will receive the Variety Showrunner Award, presented by Caleb McLaughlin.
