Trump’s inauguration weekend: Who’s performing?
The musical lineup for President-elect Trump’s inauguration weekend is full of country music stars and other big names, from Carrie Underwood to the Village People.
Underwood will sing “America the Beautiful” at the swearing-in on Monday, American tenor Christopher Macchio will sing the National Anthem and Lee Greenwood, who is a longtime Trump supporter, will also perform.
Singing at the president’s victory rally on Sunday will b eKid Rock, Village People, Billy Ray Cyrus, Greenwood and Liberty University’s praise choir. That rally will take place at Capital One Arena in downtown D.C.
The three balls that follow the inauguration and presidential parade on Monday will also bring out celebrities.
At the Liberty Ball, country music star Jason Aldean will perform, as well as Village People. And, the Trump team said a surprise music guest will perform at that ball.
At the Commander-in-Chief Ball, country group Rascal Flatts will perform, as well as country singer-songwriter Parker McCollum. And, for the Starlight Ball, the singer Gavin DeGraw will perform.
“This monumental weekend will commemorate President Trump’s historic victory and the 60th Presidential Inauguration with a celebration of music, unity, and patriotism, ushering in America’s new Golden Age,” Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee co-chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler said in a statement.
For Monday’s the swearing-in at the Capitol, all living presidents — Biden, Obama, George W. Bush, and Clinton — are all slated to attend. Former first lady Michelle Obama notably will not attend.
