Yahoo Lifestyle Will Travis Kelce Attend the 2025 Grammys to Support Taylor Swift?
With Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift yet to make their red carpet debut as a couple, fans have wondered if the Super Bowl will again interfere with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's ability to attend the 2025 Grammy Awards.
As the Grammys take place one week before Super Bowl LIX—on Feb. 2 and Feb. 9, respectively—it seems there would be plenty of time for the athlete to accompany the singer.
However, last year, the timing between events matched up the same way, with the Grammys taking place on Feb. 4 and the Super Bowl on Feb. 11, and the team's preparation schedule had to take precedence.
While the tight end has not yet addressed this year's practice schedule, it's safe to assume it will follow a similar timeline to last year, when Grammys Sunday served as a travel day for the Chiefs. Kelce and his teammates touched down in Las Vegas around the same time Swift was hitting the red carpet—later making history as the first artist to win Album of the Year four times.
Swift has secured six nominations for 2025's ceremony, up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video for "Fortnight" featuring Post Malone, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, for The Tortured Poets Department—which she announced during an acceptance speech at last year's broadcast—and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her feature on Gracie Abrams' "Us."
While Kelce may not be able to be there with Swift in person, we're certain he'll prove to be perfectly attentive from afar, like his show of support on social media following her big win last year and his determination to "hold up [his] end of the bargain" after she "re[wrote] the history books."
"[I'll] have to...come home with some hardware too," he said—and they did.
Only time will tell if the team can make history themselves with the first consecutive "3-peat," and if Swift will top herself with a fifth Album of the Year award.
