Taylor Swift Was Seen Leaving for L.A. Without Travis Kelce Ahead of Grammys
It looks like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce won’t be making their red carpet debut at the Grammys this year. Daily Mail ran photos of Swift’s private jet being loaded with luggage before she left for Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon. Kelce remained in Kansas City, Missouri, where his team is preparing to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on February 9.
Daily Mail also noted that while Swift’s plane took her parents and brother home to Nashville after the Chiefs’s AFC Championship game on Sunday night, Swift remained with her boyfriend. The couple celebrated his win at Prime Social, a rooftop lounge in Kansas City, and spent the last three days together.
This is all basically history repeating itself. Last year, Kelce played in the Super Bowl and wasn’t able to join Swift at the Grammys, because he was preparing for the big game. In 2024, as is true this year, the Grammys were just days before the Super Bowl.
He expressed his regrets about missing Swift’s big night on The Pat McAfee Show, saying on Jan. 31, 2024, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for, but I think I got practice on Sunday. I know I got practice Saturday, but Sunday is a travel day. Unfortunately I’ve got to get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week.”
Still, more details have come out this week about Swift and Kelce’s relationship.
Yesterday, Nicole Viscount, the fiancée of Kelce’s former college teammate Craig Parmenter, spoke to the Delaware News Journal about her experience seeing Swift and Kelce in Kelce’s private suite after the AFC Championship game. “Once he was in the room, all she did was follow him around to take pictures of him with his family and friends, make sure that he had something to drink and was having a good time,” Viscount said. “She was the literal definition of a supportive, happy girlfriend.”
On January 15, Kelce spoke on The Stephen A. Smith Show about how supportive Swift is. When asked whether she was pushing him to retire, the 35-year-old tight end said no, “she’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game.” He continued, “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me so I’ve got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
