Taylor Swift Fans Call Out Chiefs' Travis Kelce Post for 'Missed Opportunity'

Travis Kelce may be ready for combat ahead of Super Bowl LIX,  but some Swifties think his team missed out on an opportunity to hype up fans with a nod to Taylor Swift.

In a new video shared to the Kansas City Chiefs Instagram page on Wednesday, Jan. 29, Kelce modeled his team's new 2025 Super Bowl uniforms while giving his signature archer pose to the camera.

While the clip showed the Chiefs tight end pretending to shoot an arrow into the sky like he often does on the field, fans couldn't help but notice the "missed opportunity" to include a subtle nod to his girlfriend, who has a song titled "The Archer."

Swift, 35, released "The Archer" with her 7th studio album, Lover, and even performed the emotional track as part of the Eras Tour. During the performance, Swift—before she ever met Kelce—would also strike a similar archer pose, pretending to shoot an arrow into the sky.

After sparking a romance with Kelce and eventually dropping "The Archer" from the Eras Tour setlist, Swift later incorporated the move into the live performance of "So High School," an ode to her romance with the NFL athlete.

But in the Chiefs' latest Instagram post showing off "Super Bowl Trav," Kelce's archer move was set to the tune of Adam Griffith's "Fight or Flight," causing some users in the comments to insist that the team should have taken the chance to reference Kelce's girlfriend in the clip.

"I love this, but missed opportunity for the music to be The Archer 🏹 ❤️" one user lamented, while another insisted, "Should be playing The Archer."

But many fans were still happy to see Kelce doing his famous move ahead of next month's big game, where he is hoping to secure a three-peat Super Bowl Victory.

"He's the archer," one fan wrote in the comments on the Chiefs' post, while someone else called the clip, "The Archer (Travis' version)."

"Super Bow 🏹," another fan quipped.

Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles is set to kick off in New Orleans on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. ET.
