Ahead of the Lunar New Year, which falls on Jan. 29, Tory Burch has launched a collection and campaign that pays tribute to the upcoming Year of the Snake. The collection includes an assortment of handbags, footwear, ready-to-wear and accessories symbolic of luck, wisdom and prosperity.

Throughout all of the items within the capsule is a stylistic nod to the Year of the Snake, including the crystal-embellished serpent found on the metal clasp of the small Eleanor Spazzolato bag and the snake motif handle found on some of the tote bags.
The collection also includes items from the mainline collection, with pieces from the T Monogram family also receiving a festive redesign. The ready-to-wear pieces in the collection include cardigans, sweaters and dresses available in colors from silver and black to auspicious red hues. These pieces are complemented by a selection of jewelry available, which includes a Crystal Wave ring, a charm pendant necklace and several earrings that are designed with the same snake motif seen throughout the collection.
The limited-edition collection will be featured in boutiques across China and the Asia Pacific region and will also be present in select locations across North America, Europe and Japan. The in-store experience will include red shopping bags, which symbolize good luck and prosperity in the new year, which have been redesigned with serpentine shapes in the classic T-monogram.
The lunar calendar is a dating system based on the cycles of the moon’s phases, with each month corresponding to a complete lunar cycle. Many cultures, including Chinese, Islamic and ancient Roman, have used or continue to use lunar or lunisolar calendars. In Chinese culture, the snake represents a profound period of transformation, wisdom and spiritual growth.
