I'm A Celeb viewers slam Ash's brutal rejection of Abbie

After appearing on The Bachelor, one would think Abbie Chatfield would be pretty over love triangles, but she's somehow found herself involved in another one on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, thanks to Ash Williams.

Things have been going well between Abbie and Ash with the pair even sharing his sleeping bag one night, but things changed when Alli Simpson entered the jungle on Tuesday night's episode.

Never mind the fact Alli may not actually want anything to do with him, Ash is under the assumption that they could be a thing, saying it's "one day too late" and that he seems to regret cuddling up with Abbie.

"Yeah. It is very tough," Ash tells Grant Denyer. "It is very tough because … like, in all seriousness, like, [Alli] is way more my type."

Grant, like all of us, responds: "A mere six hours after someone left your bed..."

Colin Fassnidge's advice? Don't break Abbie's heart, or he'll be hated by the Australian population.

"You’ve got to be careful, though. If you break Australia’s sweetheart’s heart," he tells Ash.

"I feel like Ridge on The Bold and The Beautiful. I’m in a bit of a bind. I don’t know what I’m going to do," Ash says.

Making matters worse, not long before Alli arrived at camp, Ash told Abbie he enjoyed cuddling with her and wanted to do it again.

"So this morning, I was sitting by the fire and I said, 'Last night’s cuddle was good.' I said, 'You know, maybe we could do that again,'" he revealed, showing his regret.

Host Julia Morris then says what all of Australia is thinking: "What I loved about that conversation was the unquestioned assumption that it is Ash’s choice to make, as though the romantic success with Abbie and Alli is just a foregone conclusion and they have no choice in the matter whatsoever.

And Australia tended to agree, with Twitter slamming the comedian.

"Absolutely not a fan of a 38-year-old Ash Williams lusting over a 22-year-old Alli Simpson [shaking my head]," one user wrote.

"Ash saying 'its bad timing' like Alli would ever even look at him lmaooooo," another added.

"All the guys discussing Alli being Ash's type like this is bloody Aladdin, Alli is Jasmine and they're deciding her future for her," one unimpressed viewer wrote.

"Alli is literally 16 years younger than Ash how gross for him to look at her like that and expect her to be into him," someone else said.

"This whole Ash/Abbie/Alli subplot has just been so uncomfortable to watch, so gross," another said.
