Toni Maticevski Kicks Off Australian Fashion Week

The Toni Maticevski show is one of the most highly anticipated shows on the fashion week schedule. Not only is it the most star-studded, it will also inevitably contain some of the most innovative, stunning and trend-setting looks of the season.

You’ll often overhear guests exclaiming that nothing can possibly top the Maticevski show – and this year was no different.

Among the per-show backstage mayhem, Yahoo7 guest editor and model/style blogger Nikki Phillips chatted with the man himself about his new collection.

“I have a really big customer and support base here, so I love coming home,” Maticevski told Phillips, explaining that the inspiration for his collection from an emotional connection.

“I need to get into a particular mood, and then that stems into ideas and that stems into fabrics and colours,” he explained.
