Tommy Little raises eyebrows on The Project over X-rated hack

An Aussie mum has gone viral after sharing an unintentionally X-rated hack to a Facebook group.

The mum revealed that her teenage sons were always taking their phones into the shower, so she found a way to protect the gadgets.

"My teenage boys would ALWAYS take their phones into the shower with them. No matter how many times I told them not to," she wrote in the Cool Kmart Hacks & Styling Ideas group.

"I was forever telling them they were going to drop it and I wasn't getting them a new one. Until I come up with this fab idea."

She shared that she bought some car phone holders and glued them to the wall inside the shower and above the bathtub so the boys' phones wouldn't get wet.

Many commenters wondered whether the well meaning mother realised why her sons were taking their phones into the shower.

"Easy way to take nudes, thanks mum," one user joked, while another added, "We all in my house take our phones in I listen to music, my teenage son, well give you three guesses."

However, the mum was left unimpressed by the comments suggesting they were using their phones for an X-rated reason.

"I didn't put this up for backlash and not all kids do that. Gee," she wrote.

Others thought it was "smart" with one user even saying they wanted one for their husband.

"Anyone who doesn't get this hack clearly isn't a parent to teenagers," one user said. "I love this hack and anything to stop the drama of a wet phone OMG a teen without a phone NO THANKS!"

"My boys do the same and I hate it because one day the phones are going to go for a swim," another mum wrote.

Speaking about the hack on The Sunday Project, Rachel Corbett sarcastically joked, "Isn't that kind of a mum, to make sure that her kids' sexts aren't blurry. Isn't that sweet? Setting up a little tripod in the shower? Very, very kind."

Peter Van Onselen questioned, "Is she really that naive?"

"This is so dumb! So dumb!" Rachel exclaimed, with Lisa Wilkinson adding, "They will never come out!"

"I know I'm not a parent, I know it's tough to get your kids to do stuff, but setting up a little tripod? I mean, give me a break," Rachel added.

Tommy Little quickly jumped in, "But also, times have changed, right. When I was a teenager in the shower, I always had one hand free, just hold your phone!"

The panel couldn't control their laughter with Lisa covering her face with paper.

"T Little, you reign it right in at this time of night," Rachel joked.

"Oh, because you guys are all dancing around it," Tommy laughed.

"I'm a lady, it sounds sweeter coming out of my mouth," she responded as Tommy began moving on to the next story.
