Richard Wilkins and new girlfriend Nicola Dale are Insta official
Today Show star Richard Wilkins has made it ‘Instagram official’ with his new girlfriend, Nicola Dale, by sharing a sweet photo of the pair on a romantic getaway in NSW’s Byron Bay.
In the snap, the TV presenter holds hands with Nicola, a flight attendant, as they enjoy a glass of wine at the luxe Gaia Retreat & Spa which is owned by none other than Aussie icon Olivia Newton-John.
The 66-year-old posted the pic on Thursday with the caption: “How good are a couple of days of fresh air, clean food and my first ever yoga class!!”
While he didn’t refer to his new lady love directly, he did make sure to tag Nicola’s private Instagram account in the photo.
Along with the couple’s loved-up snap, Richard also shared a photo of the retreat’s rolling green hills and his hilarious efforts during said yoga class.
The Weekend Today host’s famous followers appeared more interested in the fact that he and Nicola were indulging in an alcoholic beverage at a wellness retreat, rather than the fact that he’d just made their relationship public.

The romantic significance of the post didn’t go altogether unnoticed, with one fan commenting: “How cute are you two?”
Back in March, Richard revealed to The Australian that he’d parted ways with his most recent partner, 52-year-old dancer Virginia Burmeister, “some time ago” but that the split was “very amicable”.
At around the same time he announced that he’d tested positive for COVID-19 which he continued to battle for several weeks. After more than 20 days in isolation and multiple re-tests, Richard declared he was virus-free and would be returning to work at Channel Nine and Smooth FM.
In May, Richard broke down in tears during an interview with 60 Minutes where he recounted his feelings of guilt, shame and fear after his coronavirus diagnosis.
He was most concerned with passing the virus to those he’d come into contact with prior to his positive test, including his family.
Richard shares five children with four different partners; his eldest son, Adam, 45, who was conceived on Richard’s 18th birthday with his then-16-year-old high school girlfriend, known only as Lynette; a daughter, Rebecca; another son, Nick; a third son, Christian, 24, who is from his marriage to flight attendant Michelle Burke; and a second daughter, Estella, 14, who he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Aussie designer Collette Dinnigan.
