Today host Karl Stefanovic suffers awkward fail: 'You okay?'
Technical mishaps are par for the course when it comes to live television, with Today show host Karl Stefanovic laughing off some of his of 'difficulties' during Thursday's program.
Newsreader Alex Cullen, who was gearing up to present the sports segment, was the first to notice something was wrong, with Karl fiddling with his headphones that appeared not to be working.
"Karl you okay over there?" Alex asked the presenter.
"I have a few issues this morning just from a technological point of view and my mind is really not working," Karl responded, before joking he was trying to "listen to the Dapto races".
As his co-hosts started to laugh over the awkward moment, Karl assured them: "I will have it rectified in the next fifteen minutes."

Alex replied with: "I hope so", before Karl interjected: "What's that?"
As Alex, Karl and Allison Langdon continued to giggle, Ally joked: "I like the idea of you doing the show while you can't hear."
It was a nice light-hearted moment featuring the seasoned presenter, after Karl recently admitted he was struggling to remain positive for Today show viewers during the latest Covid outbreak and lockdowns.
"I'm sorry, I know I'm supposed to be on breakfast TV and all happy and stuff, but it's just not a happy time," he said last month.
He then shocked many when a bizarre behind the scenes moment from the show was shared on social media, showing him flipping the bird at entertainment reporter Brooke Boney, who posted the clip.
