TikToker slammed after daughter, nine, gets nose piercing: 'Bad mum'

An American woman has sparked backlash after sharing TikToks of her nine-year-old daughter with a nose piercing, with some followers labelling the 28-year-old a "bad mum". Meagan Black's video of her daughter Bella wearing a nose ring and heavy mascara has been viewed over 23.7 million times.

In the video, Bella is captured by a Ring doorbell impersonating a viral video of a seemingly drunk man saying, "Open the noor."

"Wait she is like 6, why does she have a nose ring?" one user questioned, with Meagan responding, "She's 9 and because she asked for one."

"She is 16 because her nose has the ring," another added.

"Where are y'all that small children get nose piercings? Everywhere around me has been 16 with parental consent," a third questioned, with Meagan responding, "Illinois. You can do anything in Illinois these days."

"She is way too young to have a nose piercing!" someone else commented, and another agreed, writing, "Hell no too young, too young! You’re a bad parent."

"I got a nose piercing myself but nine is a bit too early because the nose hasn’t fully grown yet," one user shared.

Many were very confused over Bella's age, with one user writing, "She looks seven and 15 at the same time because of the nose piercing." Another agreed, writing, "She's a toddler and an adult at the same time."

"I thought this was a grown woman," someone else wrote.

Others defended Meagan, with one user writing, "Her nose ring is so cute! It suits her so well!"

"She is so pretty I don’t know what the haters are talking about," another said.

In another video, Meagan followed up, saying, "About the nose ring thing, she’s nine years old ok, if she wants a f****ing nose ring... What’s the big deal with that? I mean, it’s not her tongue or her eyebrow, and I didn’t tattoo her face, she just wanted a simple nose ring."

The mother and daughter shared another video, where Bella told viewers, "Don't say anything about it... the nice people can say something about it, but if you're gonna say something mean about it, just don't say anything please."

Meagan also added that Bella is allowed to wear mascara, explaining, "She is naturally light blonde, and her eyebrows and eyelashes are really light and she just wants a little colour on them."

She continued, "I let her get her nose pierced, because she does not like earrings, she says that they're ugly and all she wanted was her nose pierced."

Bella also shared that the piercing didn't hurt and that her mother did not "force" her to get the piercing.
