Set an alarm for this Sunday night. Yellowstone is back at last, and there’s only one way to catch the series’ final episodes. You heard it here, cowboys. Bust out your DVRs or prepare to park your rear in front of a screen for the next few Sunday nights, because Yellowstone’s season 5 return is appointment viewing on the Paramount Network.

The Dutton family has claimed quite a few enemies over the course of five seasons. Overreaching governments and conspiring hedge funds alike have all tried and failed to take the family ranch away from them. In the latest cliff-hanger, it seems that the Duttons are out to kill each other as well. But when season 5 is finally on the air again, you can add cord-cutters to the list of the clan’s foes. The remaining episodes will only air on the Paramount Network, and you probably won’t find them streaming anywhere for a long time.

How Can I Watch Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2?

Season 5 is back on the Paramount Network on Sunday, November 10, at 8:00 p.m. ET. CBS also plans to broadcast a “special airing” of the new episode later that night, at 10:00 p.m. ET. Unless you can record shows with your cable subscription, those two airings are the only way to watch Yellowstone’s return.

Why? Well...Paramount signed a bizarre contract with Peacock years ago that granted NBCUniversal exclusive rights to stream Yellowstone online. Paramount+ wasn’t around yet, so the Paramount Network outsourced streaming. That’s why every Yellowstone prequel lives on Paramount+ but the flagship show is only available on Peacock. It’s also likely that the upcoming episodes won’t stream on Peacock until several months after they air.

So if you’re dying to remember what happened in season 5, head to Peacock. 1883 and 1923 are both on Paramount+. Paramount also uploaded a half-hour recap of the entire series to YouTube, as well as a seventeen-minute recap that covers just season 5 so far.

What’s Next for Yellowstone?

Paramount plans to continue the story with a sequel series on Paramount+ titled The Madison. The show is set to kick off immediately after Yellowstone concludes, but there’s no official timeline for release just yet. The Madison follows an all-new family, the Clyburns, who arrive in Montana after leaving New York. Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox will lead the cast. If any Yellowstone stars are continuing, it’s fair to say that we won’t find out until the series is over.

Initial reports suggested that Yellowstone stars Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes were all “in talks” to return for a potential Yellowstone season 6. That deal is likely dead, since we’ve heard so little news on that front (and Paramount already announced The Madison), but we’ll just have to wait and see. Anything is possible as we head into Yellowstone’s final episodes. You may ever see Kevin Costner onscreen. No promises, though!
