The Wiggles fans are all asking the same thing after John Pearce's announcement

The Wiggles star John Pearce has announced that he and his wife Jessie have welcomed their first child together, a son named Henry Nicholas Adamo Pearce. The couple took to social media on Wednesday evening to share the exciting news alongside a sweet photo of the family of three.

“HENRY NICHOLAS ADAMO PEARCE 16.12.24 🩵 Welcome to the world our beautiful angel. We have never felt a love like this,” they captioned the announcement.

The post was quickly flooded with congratulatory comments from fans who also questioned whether Henry was named in honour of one of most iconic Wiggles characters, Henry the Octopus.

Henry is a purple octopus with a tartan outfit, shiny black shoes, bow tie and boater hat who loves to sing and dance. He was introduced as a Wiggly Friend in 1992, named after The Cockroaches drummer Tony Henry, and has been a part of the band ever since.

“Please tell me he’s named after the octopus,” one person wrote, while another added, “I wonder if a certain octopus was a namesake”.

“They named him Henry! Henry the Octopus!” a third replied, followed by someone else who asked, “Henry as in… the octopus?”.

“Henry the Octopus feeling really happy right now,” a different user said, with another remarking, “Henry the Octopus is gonna be so stoked”.

The Wiggles stars send their well wishes

John’s fellow Wiggles members also took to the comments to share their well wishes, with Anthony Field writing: “Beautiful Boy welcome to the world! Congratulations Jesse and Johnny!”

“Congratulations you two!!! So happy for you guys ❤️ Love lil Henry already,” Tsehay Hawkins said, followed by Lucia Field who added, “Crying. Absolutely crying. He’s already so loved”.

“Congratulations John and Jess. So happy for you both and can’t wait to meet Henry. Lots of love,” Simon Pryce replied, while Caterina Mete shared, “I love him!!!! Congratulations John and Jessie ❤️ the most beautiful little boy”.

“Jess, Johnny and Henry sending you all the love in the world,” Lachlan Gillespie commented.

John’s announcement comes just a few months after Red Wiggle Caterina announced the birth of her identical twin girls, Dolly and Gigi, in July. The 43-year-old underwent IVF at a fertility clinic with the help of an anonymous donor.

“My heart is overflowing with happiness as I welcome to the world my two little miracles. Thank you all for your love and support during this special time,” she captioned the announcement.
